Together they had a bright little baby girl, Shizuka Mori. Quiet Forest. Shizu was nothing like what her name described her though. As a baby, you could do anything to make her laugh, she was always smiling, always babbling to herself, and always loved to snuggle with anyone that would let her. However, shortly after the happy little girl's first birthday, the man and woman started to fight. Arguments would run all the way throughout the night as they would scream and curse, punch and kick, stomp and slam. For months this continued, until one day, the man left. The woman took care of Shizu alone, until the girl was three years old. During that time, a kind man came into their life.
Tomo Nagasaki was the love of both the girls. A year or so after they started dating, Daichi was born. Shizuka loved her little brother with all of her heart, and as she grew with her brother, the bond between the family strengthened. By the time Shi was six years old, she became a friendly, warm, happy-go-lucky girl with an open heart and mind. Everyone compared her to the Sun.
One day, a week or so after Shizu's seventh birthday, Tomo went on a trip to America, a little vacation with his guy-friends. He was on a motorcycle, racing one of his best pals, when his brakes failed. The man drove and drove, going faster and faster, when he finally fell off of a small cliff. And died on impact. The news reached Japan, and the family was devastated. The mother became mentally unstable, started to hang around the wrong kind of bars and places. As Shizuka tried to comfort her three year old brother out of the shock that he would never see his father again, a man came home with the mother. He was a dark, evil man, who destroyed the family's life.
Asoto was abusive. Mentally towards both the mother and Shizu and physically towards Daichi. Every day, while the mother was out, Asoto would pin Shi down and screech in her ear about how much of a horrible girl she was. About how no one would ever love her. About how she would be better off dead. Every day he would tie the little girl up in a chair, force her eyes open, and make her watch as he beat up her precious little brother up into a pulp.
Later on in the years that he was with them, Asoto became physical with Shizu. He would keep her up for days on end, force her to have no sleep, to always work on something. The man would trash every single room and demand that she clean it all up on her own. When one room was almost done, after hours and hours of hard work, he would knock things down, or get a bucket of dirt from outside and dump it everywhere. If she worked to slow, or fell asleep for even an instant, Asoto would slap her across the face and punch her in the gut. A week would pass before she was ever able to sleep. Daichi suffered as well. Every day, the beatings would get worse. The only way that the pair survived with their sanity intact was from each-others comfort. Each night, they would hold each-other close and promise over and over that they would never let go. Shizuka swore that he would never get hurt, that Dai, her beloved brother, would never feel pain again. That always lulled him to a dreamless sleep.
It was not enough to satisfy Asoto. He needed more, he had to be more pleased. To feel even more in control. The man found out how to do that. Once a week, he would take a knife to both Shizu and Daichi. Cuts all along her arms, legs, stomachs, backs. Deep enough so that they would writhe with absolute pain, yet shallow enough not to scar. For school, he would make the pair wear jeans and long sleeved shirts or a jacket. Constantly. In the heat of summer, with 100+ weather, it did not matter to him.
Asoto would also sneak into Shizuka's room at night, wake her up, and touch her. He enjoyed the way she squirmed under his finger-tips, the way tears would run down her face. The man would describe, detail by detail, what he would do with her if he had the chance. Nightmares would haunt her in dreams, and terror would course through her veins each night before she slept. His leashes on the siblings was tighter than ever before, and their mother did not care. Her children were nothing to her during that time, as her own mind was in wrecks. Asoto kept it that way, torturing her mentally every day so that her brain was kept in shambles. His reign did not last, but it ended with a bang.
Asoto was fired. His lame job was cut from him when he arrived drunk and punched a co-worker in the face. Racing home from work, anger building inside the man, he came home to his wife having lunch with Daichi, the two laughing about some stupid joke the five year old told. Roaring, he grabbed the mother by the hair and threw her in the basement, locking the door. He took his anger out slowly, carefully, making sure that Dai felt as much pain as his little body could. It was not enough. Asoto needed to feel more, get more of his anger out. He grabbed his knife and started to slash wildly at the boy. Shizu's precious little brother's life ended that day as his skin was ripped to shreds, tears in his eyes. His final moments were filled with the promise his sister made every night. No pain would come to him, he would never get hurt. With his last breath, he screeched at the top of his lungs, rage and absolute sense of betrayal in his heart. 'Liar.'
Shizuka entered the room at that moment, backpack slung over her shoulders, a tired look on her face. When she saw her brother, a bloody mess on the ground, and Asoto holding the knife, her heart immediately shattered, eyes going dead. Everything inside of her broke-down. The murderer ran, a psychotic grin on his blood-spattered face. Shizu simple walked over to her dead brother, tears cascading down her emotionless face. Picking him up, she carried him gently over to their bedroom and wrapped her arms around his body tightly. Promising never to let go. That he will never get hurt. Swearing that he will never feel pain again. An hour or so passed. Police slammed down the sibling's door after getting called about Asoto. It took only simple questions, no manipulation or mind-tricks in order for him to confess what he had done. They found Shi gripping onto her brother's corpse, eyes wide. Staring into space.
Years passed, all spent in a mental institution where her mind was shattered. Her mother never visited, Asoto was dead, killed by the government. Shizuka had 'Relentless' on her back, the staff thinking it was a tattoo that the man had given her. The girl was no longer open, but closed and carefully guarded, hidden behind secret after secret. She was no longer the kind, warm person, but a cold, distant girl who wanted nothing to do with anyone. No longer believed in love. Shizuka was no longer the bright sun, but instead became the dark side of the moon. Doctors tried as hard as they could, but they could not glue her back in one piece. That was, until, she met a boy. He was two years older than she, and he reminded her of Daichi in some bizarre way. They grew close, and she started to heal. Eventually, though, he left. She broke again without him, though this time the staff were able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
When her eleventh year of existence passed, becoming twelve years old, a group of people came to her. Septimal Moon, they said, telling her of Fighter's and Sacrifice's, how she was to forever serve someone else. Shizu was fine with it, really, and went with them willingly. Until Shizuka was fourteen years old, she lived at the dorms of SM's academy, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her Sacrifice. Her personality improved then to, becoming warmer, compassionate. None came. Eventually, the headmaster came to her, stating that no matter how hard they tried, the other Relentless was being unreachable, and that she needed to be paired with Blank immediately. This angered Shizuka. How dare they force her to be with someone that she did not want to be with, and then ditch them when her actual partner came? Being with someone you were fated to be with was one thing, but this was just uncalled for. In a fury of hot-headed words and throwing of dangerous items, she left. As she left the doors of the SM grounds, a student approached her. There was another place, unlike SM, where people who refused the beliefs of Septimal Moon would go. Transcendere Fatum. Apparently, the student was a spy, a recruiter for TF for those who wanted nothing to do with SM. She happily accepted the request and joined with them.
A long time had passed. Eventually, more and more people joined TF, more units became one. Mendax were upon them. Years passed. Shizuka was basically content with her current life, not feeling happy or sad. She felt nothing. One day, when she was eighteen, she discovered the same boy whom she had grown fond of in the Mental Ward. They became partners fairly quickly, and enjoyed each-others company. To this day, they are together, and Shizu is determined not to loose him to. - RP Sample: Pfft. Yeah. Right. Just go look at any post from Shiro, Katsu or Mio :P
