Heeom is one of the newer members to Fate's Lament as she wasn't from the previous site of Hopeless Curse. She has easily established herself as a regular face in our little community, however. This girl is just amazing. She manages to put up with out general insanity and even if there isn't a reply for her to work on all the time, she sticks around. We're glad and extremely lucky to have her here.
Shizuki is definitely one of those people you can't help but want to hug, although she may punch you for it. She's been through so much in her life already and continues to deal with the emotional scars left behind as well as trying to control her womanizing sacrifice. Her own scars are hard to deal with, but as long as she and her sacrifice remain close...they just might be able to leave the past in the past where it can't do them harm.
Minoru is quickly becoming a favorite of many here. And how could he not be a favorite? He's adorable, wants nothing more than for his Fighter to be as he was before "The Doctor" came around and he truly matches his name of 'Lament.' Being locked up for most of your life is definitely something to lament over, right? He wants to help his other half no matter what, even if it means putting him through emotional turmoil to do so.
UNIT
Lament
The way the Lament unit interacts is something that not many of the other units can boast of. Yoshiro is like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde - and both love Minoru to the point of obsession. Minoru just wants Yoshiro and not "Doctor Demento" and will go to any length to try to help his Fighter. These two are definitely a unit to watch out for - or at least the Fighter is since he keeps his Sacrifice locked up.
Fate's Lament is a concept based off of the manga and anime series Loveless by Yun Kouga. The plot belongs to Risa. "...um...may I ask for your name?"
Something has been bothering Eden for awhile, and he finally had a day off to himself where he could investigate this. Not only does he hear ringing in his ears every now and then, but he also been noticing a red string. To be honest, he always thought it was some wire on him during stage performances but one notices things when outside the stage.
The magician walked around Shibuya. This was a popular shopping district not to mention the string was leading him here. He wondered what it meant. He titled his head as he dangled the string. Eden's eyes wandered over to some girls. It seemed they were giggling about something. Eden smiled and waved hello and the girl's continued to giggle at him. He was curious...why were they laughing at him? The girl's sadly walked away before Eden could ask why. It seemed they had a train to catch.
Eden continued to wander until he finally saw where the string ended. A girl with short hair. He didn't know why but he could feel himself going red for a moment. He looked at a nearby reflective surface. He was wearing a simple silver dress shirt and black dress pants. It wasn't exactly casual wear but not at the peak of formal wear. He adjusted himself and his hair. He had to look presentable.
"Hello." Eden said, walking up to the girl where the string connected to. He bowed politely and out of nowhere presented a celadine flower to her. "I'm Eden Aphrodisios, what might your name be?"
Hoshi had been forced to go hunting for paint. Well, not hunting, exactly. She knew every goddamn store she could buy the right kinds of paints for sets at that was located in Tokyo. She'd probably been to all of them, too, and bought from them with the theater's card. She still didn't get the legality of that, but hey, as long as someone besides her dad had confirmed it as legal, she was good with it, if confused. Her paint hunt today had been taking a surprisingly long time, as it seemed everywhere was waiting on restock, and here she was, wandering a fancydancy shopping district with splotches of dark green and brown paint on her face, shirt, pants, etc., trying to get through a mess of humans to the little alley that'd take her back to the weirdest-positioned paint store in the city...and then she felt her name give a jolt. That...oh merciful Kwannon, why? Was she really going to meet her Fighter now, when she was supposed to be getting things done? That really wasn't necessary. The universe coulda totally saved it for another day. Not necessarily one where she didn't have paint everywhere (and well, there was oil too, since she'd been fiddling with her family's car that morning before going in to the theater to start sets, and she hadn't cleaned up, so...maybe a day without the oil?) Just. It could have been on a day when she didn't have to finish the sets for the most important scene of this entire blasted production. At least they were nearish enough to the theater... If her Fighter was even interested in meeting her, or noticed, worst case she could bring them back with her and work and talk or did people even talk when they met or did they just spontaneously fall in love like every stupid couple she'd seen in her classes at Septimal Moon and she had things to do she didn't want to fall in love like some stupid-
"Hello. I'm Eden Aphrodisios, what might your name be?"
And a flower. And this was her Fighter. She could tell it by the string, which she resisted the urge to give a disgusted look. "What the heck do people even do with flowers?" she muttered, staring at it, before sighing. He was her Fighter... She really wished her senses were lying - he was so... so... peacocky. Well, the flower did...hn. Did he do magic? Maybe she didn't have to say anything about the fact he was like, her other half and all that nonsense her school pushed, if he didn't know. Maybe she could observe him in a more controlled environment...her dad had been wanting someone to do...things. Entertain kids before shows. Do mini shows when things weren't currently in production, on the sidestage or whatever. She gave him a measuring look, then returned his bow. "Kamisaka Hoshi," she replied. "You're a magician, I take it?" She'd offered people jobs at the theater before, and was pretty familiar with how to do it. She'd have to make sure he was actually good at doing things besides making things appear, though. So she'd be wasting more time from her day... The perfectionist in her kicked in. She wasn't going to waste any time, and she'd get everything settled. "I have to get more paint, come with me." It wasn't exactly a question, wasn't entirely an order, but she started squeezing through moving people, intent on her paint store. He'd probably follow. If he was in the know, well, he'd feel he had to, probably, if not, curiousity, maybe? Whatever. Either he followed or he didn't. Her work had deadlines, and she'd beat them by a landslide, as always, even if life was giving her a pretentious looking peacock.

"A pleasure."
Eden stared at the girl's reaction. All she did was stare and then sigh in response muttering something he can't exactly here. Was she...dissatisfied in someway? He began to wonder if he should've used a different kind of flower to present to the short haired girl...maybe he should've presented her with a mayflower.
"Kamisaka Hoshi," A rather beautiful name, befitting the girl. "You're a magician, I take it?" Eden simply bowed politely, still holding the flower. He was glad to know that he had a reputation even here.
"Indeed I am." Eden was glad she knew who she was. He clapped his hands and the flower was gone and he placed his hands in his pockets and gave Hoshi a larger smile than his usual.
"I have to get more paint, come with me." Eden nodded and followed Hoshi without question. Though he wondered why she needed paint...was she an artist? Eden squeezed past the people and following Hoshi as close as possible. Eden then tugged at the string.
"So...is this the rumored red string of fate? I always thought it was a myth..." Eden might as well get a conversation topic going.
Hoshi recognized she probably wasn't the most pleasant person to be around right then, but she couldn't quite claim to care. This was all extremely unnecessary, and the universe was a little bitch for throwing this at her. It could've waited for it to be a day she didn't have a super-intense schedule, but noooooo. And anyways, what was she supposed to do with flowers and compliments? It wasn't like those things were useful, they were just vaguely pretty and made you sneeze. Well, compliments didn't make you sneeze, but they made her mother blush, and in Hoshi's opinion, that was far worse than sneezing. Eurgh. And he bowed. Like he thought she recognized him. Oh gods why?
"Right," was her only response. It was the only thing she could formulate. She could not show him to any of her teachers. They would probably try to drag him in to train him and make him less...well, less whatever he was, probably, to make him more Fighter-y, she figured. And while she kind of liked the idea of a proper Fighter and kinda hated the idea of this guy, she felt a twinge of responsibility. It wasn't like someone couldn't be a Fighter without fitting Septimal Moon's mold.
She glanced back at him as he tugged at the string, and grimaced. Oh god. He was one of those idiots who would actually ask things like that in public. "Later," she said, turning her attention forward again. Could she return him? Please? Entering the store saved her a little bit, because she was immediately confronted by the owner, who knew her (and her usual gaggle of sisters) fairly well, and so she was quickly able to start asking him what sizes of the colors she needed were currently in stock. For once, somebody had large quantities of paint in the proper colors. Hoshi could have kissed him, even though it wasn't like he'd planned to save her ass. She paid, using her dad's card as always, and stuffed as many paint cans as she could into her backpack before taking the rest in a couple of double-wrapped plastic bags. "Otou-san and I'll stop by for the rest of it tonight," she promised the man, then finally glanced at Eden again, jerked her head towards the door, and headed out. What was she even supposed to discuss with this boy? Like, what did you discuss with a shameless flirt? Besides what she'd do to him if he was anything more than a mild irritation...

"D-did I do something wrong?"
"Right, Later,"" This was Hoshi's only response to Eden's attempt at a conversation and a signal that Eden Aphrodisos, magician extraordinaire and womanizer in training has royally failed. She turned around and began walking into the store. Eden scratching the back of his head as he followed.
The girl didn't so much as speak to him the entire time. Heck she did even look at him. All Eden did was awkwardly looked around as she went about her business. She paid the man and told him that her father and her are going to stop by later apparently. She went off, Eden only awkwardly waving good bye to the staff there. She finally looked at him again.
"Um...need help with some of those?" Eden asked as he pointed over to the plastic bags in Hoshi's hands filled with paint cans. He smiled. "Being a magician needs some heavy lifting you know." Eden said with pride in hopes she'd trust him allow him to carry the paint cans.
...help...with...heavy lifting...? Who the fuck did he think he was or she was? She glanced at his arms, curled her lip slightly, and slung one bag over her bare shoulder (tank tops are good work clothes) to casually emphasize the fact that she had more than enough muscle for this and then some thank you very much. She was NOT helpless or weak, and she would definitely punch him if he thought she was.
They walked in silence for a little while, before she realized she should maybe actually learn about her Fighter. He probably thought she was a total jerk by now. Ack. But. He was just. So. Foppish! Her first question was beyond awkward, but at least she asked it. "Ano... Your voice sounds sort of...English?" It wasn't so much a question as a statement that ended on a slightly confused note. Hoshi didn't really do this whole "interpersonal" thing too frequently. She didn't have time at school, and her family and the staff of the theater didn't really count for that. Whatever, didn't matter, her half-way question could totally work since it wasn't a full-on question and thus, couldn't be TOO rude! Probably.
As they neared the theater, Hoshi did consider telling him exactly where they were going, but then decided not to. An alleyway off the main street later, they were at the stage entrance of the theater, which she unlocked and led him in through. Up a small set of stairs, and they were in one of the set design rooms. She set the paint on a bookshelf full of miscellaneous building items, as well as her backpack, and started emptying it. "How well do you talk and listen for being asked to hand things over and stuff?" she asked, undoing the small rubber band holding the longer ends of her hair back from her face so that she could tighten it.

"D-did I do something wrong?"
The walk of silence was nothing short of awkward, even for Eden. If anything the silence only further emphasized his failure to socialize with her. He is trying to find some way to salvage the situation but nothing seems to come to mind. This was much easier backstage...
"Ano..." Eden's ears flinched as he heard his partner speak. "Your voice sounds sort of...English?" Eden was a little shocked at first. But he quickly regained composure and let off his trade mark smile.
"Yup, half English from my father's side." There was a metaphorical rise...and fall. He now has nothing more to contribute to conversation for now. The walk continued to be a silent one.
The black haired girl guided Eden to a theater, a sight Eden himself was very much familiar with. He looked left and right as he followed her. It was refreshing to visit the back of a stage. It felt like home to Eden. They soon came upon an empty set room of sorts.
"How well do you talk and listen for being asked to hand things over and stuff?"
"Being a stage magician, I have to follow instructions to a T. We're a surprisingly strict profession sometimes." Eden can never forget how stressful the saw trick was but she didn't have to know that. "What may you have me do? Your wish is my command."
