Heeom is one of the newer members to Fate's Lament as she wasn't from the previous site of Hopeless Curse. She has easily established herself as a regular face in our little community, however. This girl is just amazing. She manages to put up with out general insanity and even if there isn't a reply for her to work on all the time, she sticks around. We're glad and extremely lucky to have her here.
Shizuki is definitely one of those people you can't help but want to hug, although she may punch you for it. She's been through so much in her life already and continues to deal with the emotional scars left behind as well as trying to control her womanizing sacrifice. Her own scars are hard to deal with, but as long as she and her sacrifice remain close...they just might be able to leave the past in the past where it can't do them harm.
Minoru is quickly becoming a favorite of many here. And how could he not be a favorite? He's adorable, wants nothing more than for his Fighter to be as he was before "The Doctor" came around and he truly matches his name of 'Lament.' Being locked up for most of your life is definitely something to lament over, right? He wants to help his other half no matter what, even if it means putting him through emotional turmoil to do so.
UNIT
Lament
The way the Lament unit interacts is something that not many of the other units can boast of. Yoshiro is like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde - and both love Minoru to the point of obsession. Minoru just wants Yoshiro and not "Doctor Demento" and will go to any length to try to help his Fighter. These two are definitely a unit to watch out for - or at least the Fighter is since he keeps his Sacrifice locked up.
Fate's Lament is a concept based off of the manga and anime series Loveless by Yun Kouga. The plot belongs to Risa. The skin and graphics were designed by Chama, with use of a lovely background from Kabegami E-Tank. Codes belong to their rightful owners, of course, and were all found on Proboards Support. The GIF affiliate banner is credited to Gemini. All images used are from Zerochan, with modifications as needed. And of course, all characters and writing are property of the players here.

A lone silver-black mug sat on the table, contents steaming, as red eyes went over notes that had been kept on each Blank their owner had been assigned, as well as a few mismatches from his... extracurricular activities, though nothing in the notes revealed them as such. For a few weeks, the pattern that had emerged had been bothering him: Any changes in power had been attributable to differences in individual ability. Not only that, but a couple had even been Fighters, rather than Sacrifices. It was a puzzle that had implications that could be disastrous or fortuitous, depending on how he played it. The first step, however, was confirmation. It was for that reason that he'd asked one of the Voices to meet with him: The head of the science department. Tenshi took a sip of his coffee as he waited, ideas already in mind with what to do with the results of the experiments he was about to ask to be done, should his suspicions pan out, starting with finding a way to improve the Zero project. <One step at a time. Let's just see where this goes before we start figuring out what we can do.>, he thought to himself as he took another slow sip.

To be honest, it was a complete rarity that Hiroshi even left his laboratories besides maybe going out and restocking his essential items, like laboratory items or his own personal items. He had a room down there that he slept in most of the time. He also had his own bathroom and the like. So, he rarely had to leave except to stock up on food or other items used for hygiene. He just didn't like dealing with people or anything, he just preferred spending time with his lab. His lab was his first and one true love. The only visitors he got were his precious Zeros.
Two of the three he had...that third one, though...Theus. He had survived his initial experiments to turn him into a Zero. Removing the nerve ending, carving the Zero name into his flesh. He had escaped awhile afterwards, though and he hadn't seen him since. How could his child just leave like that! It was infuriating, to say the least. He was still recovering! What if he was lying dead in a ditch somewhere because nobody was taking properly care of his needs that a Zero required? They needed to learn first aid for various injuries they might come across...it was just so frustrating!
Hiroshi spun around in his chair lazily, glancing up at the clock. There had been a meeting request and it was just about time for him to head up for it. A soft sigh of displeasure over having to take time out of his day of running experiments to go meet with somebody about something was a little bit obnoxious. He glanced back towards the window where his current experimental mundane was awake after a surgery to remove nerve endings. If she survived this, then he would do the gene therapy to add the genes to make her into a Fighter or a Sacrifice, he hadn't decided yet. She was poking at herself, confused for a moment and then scratching and jabbing at her own arm, trying to feel something. Anything. Screaming shortly after, unable to feel the usual pain coming to her body from this.
Hiroshi entered into the room, flipping on an IV to put sedatives into her to calm her down. So far, this was the usual response to the lack of feeling they received after the surgery to remove the sensory nerves. The screaming ceased as she drifted back into unconsciousness. He'd have to deal with her later. Moving back into the main portion of his lab and then into another room for a brief moment, he removed the albino rat snake from his shoulders and slid her back into the cage she came from. Hiroshi rather liked snakes, besides the fact that he had lab rats and mice - whenever he was done with those he would feed them to his rat snakes. Oh, he had a couple species of snakes...like a Ball Python who was curled up into a coil on top of its heated rock. These snakes had proven to be resilient in resisting the drugs that were in the lab creatures. So why not.
Remaining for a moment to make sure all the lab animals were fine, he headed up the elevator and towards the staff lounge, lightly yawning. When was the last time he'd slept? Oh...couple nights ago, maybe? He didn't remember. Maybe he'd grab something to eat while he was up there too. He stopped by the cafeteria on his way to the lounge to grab a large steaming cup of coffee before heading it, opening the door without bothering knocking. He was a couple minutes early, so he was kind of surprised to see that his meeting was already there. He racked his brain for a name, unable to come up with one besides the first name of Tenshi. "Tenshi, right? What is it that you needed?" he asked, sitting on one of the couches in the room.

Tenshi looked up as the man entered the room, then back at his notes. "Fusui-kohai will suffice for the time being. I know you value your lab time, so I'll be brief. I'd like you to run some tests on my DNA, specifically to see if there's anything different from a normal Fighter.", he responded, setting the notes on the table and sliding them in Hiroshi's direction. "I've noticed a few... discrepancies... between my personal experiences and what I have been taught here. The details relevant to what I'd like you to look into are in these notes. I'm not in too much of a hurry, so I'm not going to be so impudent as to ask you to make it a priority. I'd be happy if it got done at all.". He took another sip of his coffee, studying the Voice's face to see how he took the request. It had been a calculated risk, requesting the meeting, and now was one of several critical moments, and Tenshi was prepared for the worst even as he hoped for the best.
