"Stupid dog..."
Theus staggered lightly as he left the train station, making his way over to the statue of the ever-so-famous dog, Hachiko before he plopped down with a bit of a loud grunt. He coughed, clutching at his chest for a moment, wheezing a bit as he tried his best to breathe. This happened from time to time, and had ever since he underwent the experiments at Septimal Moon, so he was used to it. But still, it wasn't a pleasant thing, to be unable to breathe. Well, at least there was no blood this time. He always managed to unnerve people when he coughed up even the slightest amount of blood, and he didn't want to put up with that this time.
"You're an awfully stupid dog, you know that, right?" the white-haired teen asked the dog statue as he peeked up at it from under his hood. Even though he wasn't from here, he had heard the story about the "faithful dog" and he never quite liked it. Just when people said that dogs and cats were "sensitive" enough to know when something was wrong with their owners, he heard about something like this. Just how stupid did an animal need to be before they figured out that the person wasn't going to come back? It just made no sense to him at all.
"There's no point in staying here, waiting forever, you dumb dog. The dead won't come back. Ever. After all, once you're dead, that's it. It's game over." He ran a hand through his hair and then glared unhappily at his hand as he let it drop. It was a little bit shaky and there were veins beginning to swell in his hand, like they had on the side of his face and neck. He simply hated what they did to him, and there was no way they would have cared about their actions. After all, they used an enemy Fighter for the experiments. It didn't matter if he died from the side effects. In fact, it was a miracle he hadn't already.
But, still, he didn't want to die. Not yet. He didn't ask for this. He wasn't ready for it to be "game over".
