Gazing at the sky above her, Mika dazed off into a daydream. She made her way to the store subconsciously that she had originally left the house for. Something about that vass blue sky speckled in puffy white clouds just made her relax completely. She forgot about the hustle and bustle of people around her, and just started thinking about the stupid daily things people do when their mind has time to wander.
Life had been slow lately. When she first arrived to Japan, things had been a little hectic. She found a partner, which she had no original intention on doing, but it was a nice surprise none-the-less. It was less lonely, knowing someone was there. That's all she had. Was him. Her other half. She felt like they were getting closer, but it was hard to understand him at times. It was hard to know what to say. Maybe if she'd been raised to be something other than socially awkward, it might be different. But let's face it. She's as weird and awkward as they come. Words fail her, so she might as well just say what comes to mind, and make whatever face feels appropriate with the occasion. No matter what people may think of her.
She was glad she made the move to Japan. Even though she had a rough start, she felt that she benefited in the end. She felt that she could be herself for once, and that was exactly why she made her way to an otaku shop. Mika loved anything remotely considered nerdy, or geeky. She just found great pleasure in it. Like hoards and piles of manga, anime, and those darn romance dating sims. They were nothing like real life, which was probably why she loved them so much. It was a chance to escape.
Her daze was broken as she rammed her face into the door of the shop. Trying not to make a scene, she kept walking with her hands at her waist and her face opening the door for her. The bell chimed, and with that came a face that broke out in a red blush. She quickly ducked behind a pile of games and covered her face. She shook with silent laughter at herself and her stupidity. Today would be a rather amusing day.
