While Ryuu had been adamant about not wanting to have a relationship with him - because of Transcendere Fatum's ways, he couldn't help but want something with him. Just a deep twinge of regret of not getting to know his other half better than their brief meeting. It had been hard to just walk away from that and he wondered how some units just managed to do just that. He knew why Septimal Moon wanted to keep the units together - but he just didn't understand why their hierarchy demanded that the fighter be the slave to the Sacrifice...that didn't make sense. That was why their organization wanted to give units the power to choose between who they wanted. They would forge bonds of their own - and not what Fate chose for them. "Ryuunosuke, Sir, are you there?" the voice came from his headset and Ryuu shook his head slightly as he looked at the laptop from the military mission he was overseeing - as he had created the strategy for the entire thing from start to finish and was working as handler for several of the undercover operatives. "Uh yeah. Sorry. Ahn. Take a right - there should be a security camera there. Take it out and then you can move to take the cell out," A few minutes passed as his men moved to do as they were told with Ryuu glancing between the live feed and the blueprints of the building from the intel he had gathered. There were the sounds of gunshots in the background and Ryuu was left on edge. "Are you guys alright?" he ventured after a moment of silence. "Yes, sir." "Casualties?" "No deaths. Two wounded on our end - six dead, one wounded and three in all captured from the cell," came the answer, the man on the other end panting slightly with adrenaline. Ryuu sighed in relief. His plans had worked out beautifully, as per usual. "Alright. Get the wounded medical treatment and head back to base, Corporal," Ryuu leaned back in his desk chair, stretched for a moment. "Sergeant Major Ryuunosuke Shirai out," Ryuu turned off the feed and turned off his laptop. Papers and several different classified papers were shoved into a folder and then into a safe in a wall behind several military and war books on a bookshelf. He grabbed another folder out of it before he closed it, the metal contraption clicking shut and locked. He glanced through the background check on his true Sacrifice and noted the address listed on it with a sigh. He would deal with this feeling of regret now. He wanted to know why he felt bad about not wanting to deal with a Sacrifice, especially his own. The power of a true bonded unit was undeniable, of course...perhaps he could make it work? Keep the Sacrifice he was using now - actually get to truly be a Fighter that he was supposed to be. A mendax was his Fighter, even though he was the Fighter of his unit...but because they weren't matched - he would have been a weakened Fighter. Slipping off the grounds of Transcendere Fatum was easy enough for him, he wasn't stopped by the security because they knew he was one of their head chairs. It didn't take long for him drive to where he wanted to go either with a motorcycle. He stepped in, taking a breath of air. He could command dangerous marine missions, send people out on those missions and handle military things...so why was the aspect of seeing his Sacrifice for a second time so nerve wracking? He had rejected him...was he worried he would face the same rejection after he had done the same thing? Perhaps. [/style]

Usually the simple blips that crossed his mind were a mild concoction of the few uneventful on-goings that were drug out in his daily life. IE: showing up at this dreadful business and listening to the ever so lifeless pitches about ways to mass market furniture. Nothing he cared much for. Since the sudden and uncomfortable collision, if you could call it that, with his fighter unit, his proper name had really been the only thing crossing his mind. It was not as if he entirely lacked understanding of their "ideal" partnership and how it was supposed to work. Including, in fact, how it, according to Ryuu, how it would not. In the past he had not been one to bend easily in a situation. However, if this one he could bend to fit into, he would've. But that he'd been Ryuu's choice. He scowls visibly, in time to be cut into by the leader of their meeting. "...Is there something wrong the advertisement pitch, Mr. Kashi?" His eyes avert upwards through the visibly strewed black hair, and he laughs somewhat sarcastically. Dried and cracking fingers rest again his lips as he scans the over the consistently drab mock ups of the advertisements. "No, it's perfectly fine." he responds with little bemusement breaking through in his voice. Really, as if anyone couldn't tell he didn't care so long as his check continued to show up on time. And with the same monetary amount scrawled across it in ink. Not to say that he wished his families business to fail, simply that if it failed at this particular venture at this particular time he had better things to mind to. The remainder of his unfulfilling time spent in the meeting was for the majority spent mulling back and forth possibilities of where to continue his non-business related ventures. Most of these ventures revolved primarily around his relationship, or lack thereof with his fighter. Whom was supposed to be his fighter, actually. After a rather nerve tensing first meeting such as theirs he assumed most people would have opted to give up. Simply drop even the faintest consideration from their overwhelmed minds, and give up. That wasn't exactly his way of working. But he couldn't beg, either. That was weak, and seemingly useless. You couldn't force a partnership with anyone, business or otherwise. Besides, he'd probably never even see the guy again. Eventually the uneventful meeting was adjourned and he forced himself out of the cheaply upholstered and stained chair. He meanders towards one of the glass panel walls that faced out to the business skyscraper's courtyard and stares down at the concrete slab that is only partially covered in plain trees. His brown eyes dilate suddenly in undeniable shock, and he begins to take bounding quick steps down and out of the offices. His elbows make contact with a few peoples sides as he brushes roughly past them, leaving them behind with discontented glares. Squinting to see into the fading linear distance he pushes the lobby door open with his hips and a single hand, still distracted by whomever was hovering around just outside the entrance way. Within a moment his head jerks to one side and his mouth falls open, catching light of the blue hair in his sight. His arms cross over his chest and his body stiffens up to match his stern appearance. "...So I assume this is you standing by the fact that you are in fact, not stalking me, right?" He laughs dryly, though fails to crack a smile from where his loosely sweater clad body stands.

Ryuu closed his eyes for a brief moment, thinking about...why he was honestly there. He knew that TF didn't really care if you worked with your true half, but eventually when their boss got through with whatever he was working on, their bond would be severed and they could choose to form a new one...whether it be with their original name or a new partner in general. As far as Ryuu saw, it wasn't all bad. A unit could forge a bond on their own terms. Perhaps make it even stronger than it was previously with a person of their choice. With a unit that wanted to remain bonded...if theirs was broken - well, if that were the case, a true bond would never even be broken anyway and they would just repair it and rebond. He wasn't sure how that process would eventually work though...oh well. It didn't really concern him. A few moments after his arrival, he was met by the one he'd been looking for - who inquired about whether or not he was stalking him. Ryuu let out a short snort of laughter, trying to stifle it. "Nah. I just did my research on you. I have my ways," he stated rather mysteriously before falling silent, trying to think of something to say. "I've been thinking," he finally ventured. "I don't think I gave you enough of a chance, to be honest...I dunno...it's been bugging me for awhile..." he admitted almost awkwardly as he glanced away from Yuugiri, the a soft shading of red dusting over his cheeks. Yuugiri laughs softly, surprisingly hushed for his usual loud and obvious. "That was so very reassuring." he says sarcastically, but suddenly the next phrase spilling out of the others mouth catches him deeply off guard. To say that he didn't want to be a unit would have been a complete and total lie and the thought causes him to waver. His knees lock, supporting his unbalanced weight as he shoves his hands in the pockets of the corduroy cut off shorts. He sways back and forth on his ankles, feeling supremely put into place. Not a place he was expecting, either. It wasn't as if his was an ill fit position, unlike shoving a round peg in a square hole. Units were meant to fit, so it was said. And as if he would really be the one to deny wanting to be a unit. That was a part of being a member of Septimal Moon, even if his understanding of all the rules and regulations was still just a little shaky. But Ryuu was in Transcendre Fatum, none the less. Was this a loss? He crumbles slightly on the inside, confused by his own slew on unanswered and distorted questions. He shakes his head a little, eyes flittering back and forth from the concrete back to Ryuu whom appeared to be avoiding him. "Ah...Alright." he says, pulling his left hand out of his pocket, and then twisting it slightly before it fell limp to his side. God, someone explain this to him. The black haired boy laughs awkwardly, low and breathy. His confidence seems to reappear, straightening his uneasy posture. He looks up firmly, posing another question, which makes him slightly flustered, ears burning. "So...does that make us a unit then?" Eugh, he grumbles inwardly. They were technically, already a unit. Of course they were. But he was so entirely clueless, when his mind let him settle to think about it. The questions jumbled in his mind. How the fuck did this all even work, was he hasty? To slow..? Not hasty enough? So critical. Where did they go from here? It's not as if they were some sort of celebrity item...they were partners. There was so much explained. ❞

Especially after Yuugiri had given him an affirmative to wanting to try to work as a true unit. Ryuu almost felt his heart in his throat at that. He would have a Sacrifice to work with that was his own. He could actually do the job of a Fighter. With the fact that Nico Nagisaki was his Mendax chair guardian, it meant that if they got into a battle together...Nico would take the position of Fighter and he the Sacrifice. This way...he could do what he actually wanted to do - be a Fighter. Not have to rely on another for his protection in a spell battle. Ryuu was quite capable as a Fighter, he did train Nico as a Fighter as well, after all. He wanted the chance to act as the Fighter in a spell battle though. He was definitely capable of doing so - but unless he was paired with his true half and they had somewhat of a decent bond...he was unable to. Ryuu laughs slightly with him and then fell silent with the next question. Yes. That did technically make them a unit...even though technically they were always a unit. Now they were just a willing unit. "Yes, I suppose it does. The strength of the fighter often works off of the bond between the unit, the name itself, and as well as their experience as a Fighter and the spells they can use," Ryuu stated, tilting his head to the side. "I'm rather experienced as a Fighter - or at least using spells. Battles with me being the actual fighter are a rarity," Ryuu admitted with a slight smile. "It might be nice to be able to be the actual fighter in a spell battle rather than posing as the Sacrifice," he commented loftily. "That's if we get into one ever..." he smiled lightly before glancing away, awkward again. "So...what do you want to do now? I've already finished my work...so I'm open the rest of the day unless I get a call that I'm needed for anything." [/style]

It was enlivening, in a strange sense. The technicolor picture of a battle in his mind was somewhat ethereal and separated from his usual picture of the world. Everything seemed, simply put, more magical than the surrounds that he was always in now. Corporate business, how dull. Paperwork and timecards compared to spells and poetic battles of power. The consideration of a battles rareness, however, made it a sour feeling. So much excitement contained in one thing that hardly ever occurred to any bond was a bit of a let down. "I suppose, in theory that is comforting." he laughs in a hushed tone. What was he supposed to even do with the other? He groans inwardly at himself. When would he stop being so stubborn. It made him cringe all through his body to consider the idea of rendezvousing with a man he'd never met and to leave his seemingly clueless employees to widdle away at the company. As he had grown used to, Yuugiri considered offering to go drinking with the other. However, the sun was still out, bright in the afternoon. "Mm, I don't think it will hurt to leave my imbicile employees alone for the rest of the day." He'd get his paycheck anyways, and otherwise he could do his work from home. "Are you hungry?" he asks suddenly, having let the idea hit him. Not drinking, but food. It was plenty normal to go to eat at this time of day, versus filling up on alcohol. Although, being stingy, he didn't really want to pay for it. Somehow, though he'd pull out his teeth in the process of doing it, he'd at least attempt it. ❞
