Sure the governmental offices of Tokyo were located here, but still! There were so many people, and Ayumu struggled to weave his way through the crowds, music playing in his headphones as he kept his eyes down at his feet, and the feet of those around him. He didn't need a head-on collision with someone who could probably sue him for it or could beat him up for it. Nope. No way. Some people insisted on making you talk when you collide with them, so it was better to just avoid it altogether. After all, when you talk, you have to look at the person, and when you look up at them, you might just see whatever it is that's attached to them. Nope. Definitely not. Sighing faintly, Ayumu fished a list out of his pocket and opened it up. Looking it over, he couldn't help but wonder if all this stuff was necessary. Didn't they have all of this at home? Probably. Maybe his grandfather was finally going senile on them. Or, in the more likely event, he was sick of seeing Ayumu moping about the house and shop and banished him into the outdoors so that he may be able to get some fresh air, and maybe make a friend or two. Yeah, like that ever went well for him. It never went well for his father, and when he did socialize, and managed to get over himself enough to get married, the woman went crazy trying to exorcise their son and eventually ran off, unable to take it anymore. It's not like he asked to see things, or anything. It was just a trait people in his family tended to have, is all. It was then that he arrived at his dreaded destination: Odakyu Department Store. He chanced a glance upward at the 16-floor building before him and then, with a sigh of resignation, he stepped through the doors and headed toward the various departments he needed. The sooner this was over with and he was home, the better. [/style]

Daisuke sighed softly, checking an item off of his list. Shopping days were always so boring. He really should get a hobby, living by himself was really lonely. He had left a year after the incident, giving up basketball for good, he decided to go to just a small high school and live on his own. His parents had gotten over-protective after the incident, and things had gotten pretty nasty. He didn't want to be around that anymore. He didn't want the constant reminder of the fact that he hadn't been wanted on the team anymore. He didn't seem to have any friends after that, the student that had pushed him into the pool, had twisted the tale, making Daisuke look like the bad guy. He shook the thoughts out of his head. Man, now he was just being a bummer.

Grabbing the last of his things, he plopped them down in the basket. Shoving his list into his pocket, he made his way to the counter. He made his greetings with the worker, and payed for his things, grabbing the bags as they were handed to him. Nodding a farewell with a soft "Thank you," he made his way towards the entrance, rushing to get out of the busy department store.

Not paying attention to where he was walking, he tripped over his untied shoe lace and fell on his face, his things scattering. His face got an unpleasant sting from smacking on the ground. Sitting up, he made a displeased grunt in the back of his throat. "Great. Just great." A blush rose high on his cheeks as he saw a red-haired boy entering the store. He grimaced lightly, hoping the boy wouldn't trip over his stuff, that had scattered in front of him. Tying his shoelaces in a quick matter, he got up and dusted himself off. His voice tended to be somewhat quiet and reserved. "Sorry about that, you seem to be in a hurry." He looked at the boy with the lowered head, and something inside him quirked, he wished the boy would look into his face. He shook his head lightly, pushing away the thoughts. He bent down, reaching for his things. The name on his wrists were notice-able to all, he had not even tried to hide them.

It was a boy with light blue hair and he had tripped over his own shoelace and fell flat on his face, his purchases scattering everywhere. Without thinking, he knelt down and helped the boy pick up his items. It was a reflex for him to do, now, even though he didn't like coming into contact with new people very much. Kobayashis always helped out someone who needed it. That had been drilled into him until it became second nature for him to do so. "H-Here..." he muttered, reaching out to hand something to the other boy. He had glanced over in that moment, abeit shyly, and that was when he saw it. The name etched around the other's boy's wrists like cuffs. It looked just like what was on his wrists! His eyes shooting open wide, he jumped up to his feet, his headphones falling off his his head, and took a step back. Just what did that mean? Was someone going around branding kids when they weren't looking, or something? Speaking of branding, his wrists felt a little warm, and they tingled a little, forcing him to rub them a little. "...T-The same... Y-You... have the same marks..." he breathed out, staring down at the other boy in shock. It couldn't just be a coincidence. From what he learned as a boy of the Kobayashi house, things were rarely "just a coincidence". [/style]

Daisuke blinked at the other boy. He was... cute. Blushing slightly, he wondered what was wrong with him. His heart was going "doki doki." He looked into the other boys eyes, shyly, a blush covering his cheeks. He reached for the item the red-head handed him, brushing his fingers lightly against the boys, as he took it into hand. His name pulsated with heat as he noticed the other boys name. He glanced back at the other males face, a small smile appearing on his face. "Thank you.." Jumping slightly, he was surprised as the boy suddenly jumped up and took a step back. Did he do something wrong? He looked down slightly, disappointed. This wouldn't be the first person to shy away from him. Shaking himself out of the crestfallen thoughts, he gathered the rest of his things and stood in front of the boy, looking into his eyes determinedly.

He smiled lightly at the boy, who was surprised at his marks. He chuckled softly, a blush forming lightly on his cheeks. "Ah, yes. It appears we do. That must mean something, right?" Daisuke smiled in hope, maybe he wouldn't be alone after all. There was a thing called fate right? Was this it? This couldn't be a coincidence could it? Daisuke reached out slowly, running his index finger along the boys name on his wrist. "My name is Daisuke Sato, it's a pleasure to meet you..." The blue haired boy looked into the red eyes of the other male, speaking softly.

There isn't... much that happens for no reason..." Ayumu conceded shyly. There wasn't much room for coincidence in the grand scheme of things. Whatever happened was always a curveball thrown at you to test you, or steer you back on track. This was probably one of them. When he jumped up earlier, the other boy looked up at him in surprise and what almost looked like... disappointment? What was that? Did he accidentally hurt his feelings? Well, he did shoot up like a rocket and stagger backward, but he was surprised and Ayumu, like his father, never took to surprises very well. However, he didn't get to dwell on that for very long. The other boy slowly reached out and touched his wrist right where the name was. At the boy's touch, it was like electricity had shot through him, causing him to jump a little. It was surprising, but it didn't hurt. In fact, it almost felt... good. Flushing embarrassedly, Ayumu looked down at his feet and slowly pulled his arm away from the other boy, making sure that it wasn't a sudden move so as not to hurt his feelings again. He didn't like the thought of hurting him very much. "N-Nice to meet you... S-Sato-san," he squeaked out, trying to remain calm and be polite. But he felt so awkward. He was a shy guy by nature, but something about Daisuke was so strange, and it wasn't just the fact that they both had the same stigmata, or whatever. He found himself wanting to stand there and talk to him forever, but he knew that he couldn't do that. He could barely speak as it was at that moment. Then there was the fact that he felt like relaxing around him, but he barely knew him! He was such a ball of conflicting emotions that he didn't know what to do. Well, there was one thing he needed to do, and that was introduce himself. Daisuke did it, himself, so it was only fair. "I... I'm Ayumu... Kobayashi..." [/style]

Daisuke grinned as the other boy shared his name. Ayumu, what a pretty name. Daisuke jumped a little as he felt a prod at his back. He blushed as he realized that they had been holding people. Looking back at his newly formed friend, he smiled taking his hand. "You needn't be so formal Ayumu. I would like to drop all formalities if that's fine? We should get moving though. We are holding up the entrance." Daisuke felt comfortable around this boy, he wanted to know more about him. His warm hand, he never wanted to let it go. The pleasant feeling that their names made as they rubbed together. But he knew from just looking at this boy that he was rather shy, so he wouldn't take it to heart at the boys reactions.

Moving them out of the way, he had chose a random spot to relax for a moment. Looking at Ayumu, he wore a small, pleased smile. "I'm not very good at making friends, so.. seeing how we have something in common already, I was thinking.." He drifted off slowly, losing confidence. He blushed brightly and averted his face. What was wrong with him? His heart was pounding and he could feel his wrist start to burn pleasantly. He wanted to get close to this boy. He would wait patiently, for this boy to get accustomed to him. He hoped that someday he would get comfortable with him. He looked a little, tense. He needed the relaxation.
