It had already been a short while since "Dr. Demento" trashed the laboratories, forcing Yoshiro to move the black-haired man out of the cells. Not that really bothered him that much. It was a change of scenery, and there were things to do here. But the one thing that unsettled the man was the fact that he was still, in essence, his Fighter's prisoner. He knew that, in some twisted way, his Fighter was trying to protect him by keeping him out of the eyes of the world, but in reality it did quite a bit more harm than good. Minoru had just turned the page when suddenly, there was a pain in his chest. Not a bad pain, but it was more like a burning feeling. Closing his book, the Sacrifice sat up, his hand on his chest. He didn't need to worry about what could have caused that pain. He knew exactly what it was. It was his name, letting him know that his Fighter had initiated the battle system. Yoshi was in a spell battle! Minoru couldn't help but wonder if the elder man could take the strain of the battle on his own. He was a skilled and seasoned Fighter, but it had been ages since they last fought in a spell battle, and Yoshi wasn't as young and resilient as he used to be. Gritting his teeth, the Sacrifice leapt up off the bed and made his way to the door. The room had been modified in such a way that the windows were sealed and the only real way was to go out the door, which was armed with a combination lock and even boasted a sentry outside. However, Minoru knew that said sentry, who was the Guardian assigned to him, the Earth Chair, would let him out if he stated that he needed to go use the bathroom or the like. But would he open the door if he told him the Void Chair needed his help? Well, it was worth a try. "Akumu." He banged on the door to get the Guardian's attention on the other side. "Open the door. I need to do something." He had no doubt that he would be asked what his business was, but he was going to check on his fighter, no matter what. After all, it was Yoshiro, the man he met in that room all those years ago, that he looked up to. He just hated the other side to him whenever it came out to play, is all.[/style] |
