[atrb=style, font-family: bookmanantique; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; background: #300000; border: 1px dashed #A80000; color: #888888]Shinju lay completely sprawled across one of the couches, her slender, dimunitive frame somehow managing to take up the whole couch. Until, that is, she lifted her legs to a ninety degree angle and began to boredly play with her toes, her folded pale green coloured ears twitching animatedly. Supposedly, her Sacrifice was finally ready to meet her, or something. That was exciting! She had heard all kinds of things about him from the teachers all the time. The day was finally here! Whump. She let go of her toes and allowed her legs to fall against the couch with a soft impact. It was then that she, with a small groan and the jingle of the tags on her collar, sat up and began to look around, her ears still twitching and turning this way and that as she began to wiggle a bit. She just couldn't sit still; this was far too exciting! A teacher sat on the far end of the room, their eyes practically boring holes into her body. Her caretaker couldn't make it to this meeting, and so she was left in the care of the school staff. Obviously, they didn't trust her to stay out of trouble, but she knew how to do that much. She could be a good girl when she needed to, and she needed to make a good impression on the boy she was to work with. If she held him back, or vice versa, either of them could be disposed of! But they had already invested so much into her, right? Why in the world would they do that? That was silly. It wouldn't do them any good. Not at the moment, at least. She climbed over the back of the couch and peered out the window that sat above it. Below, she could see all the normal students wandering around or hanging out with their friends. They always fascinated her. They had all kinds of things that she didn't. Like touch for one. What was that like? She never quite understood the definitions her caretaker, or the teachers, gave her. It was like that strange concept of pain. Others felt it, but she never did. That was what fueled her desire to see what could cause it. However, she wasn't allowed to find out, unless it was on someone else, and someone the school said was okay to test. Oh well. At least it wasn't completely forbidden. That would be boring, and she never did well with things that were boring. |
