Madoka was working her usual shift at her job at the music store, well more like goofing off. It was a slow day, they had been open all afternoon and yet they hadn't gotten a single customer. Eyeing one of the new keyboard sets, she decided to give it a try, seeing if it was worth the price. Sitting down, she stretched out her fingers over the keyboard. Anyone else would be scared by all of the buttons, but she felt calm and confident. Starting to play an upbeat melody, she let her mind wander.

Work at the clubs was a lot of fun, but coming up with music was becoming slow. She needed muse, and someone to listen and give critiques. She was getting lonesome, even though she hated to admit it. She loved her music, but she needed some personal, human compassion. Yes her fans and coworkers at the clubs satisfied her, but that was only temporary. She longed to find the other half of her name.

She hoped deep down that it was a male. Girls were too judging for her tastes. Besides, being stuck with a cute guy wouldn't be so bad. One that was good with music... Her eyes began to sparkle, and her fingers played an even more upbeat, beautiful tone. Giggling to herself, she gave a silly grin. She supposed she should be doing work related stuff but cleaning already clean instruments, sounded boring. Keeping an eye trained on the door, she listened for the tinker of the bell.

Bodies struggling against bodies. The current was so slow that it took five minutes to walk a single step. This was true, except for one case. If you have excellent sight, perfect observation skills and the attention span to boot, you would see a single head of gray hair easing his way though the dense crowd. Its pretty odd, it seems, that someone could ever find their way through the horde, but Tomo had a gift. No one could see him, so no one struggled to keep him back behind themselves. No one bothered to fight against someone who didn't even seem to be there. It was funny, really hilarious, to Tomo. Looking at his face, you could not tell. Emotionless as ever. But on the inside, he was laughing. The Phantom, people called him. The Ghost, others said. Whatever he was, no crowd was to thick for him! Easily making it passed the rush in around seven minutes, he found himself at a different place where he expected. Color draining from his face, Tomo realized that he would have to go through the crowd once again in order to get to the turn he needed to take. Turning around, a stone fell into the pit of his stomach. This was a one-way mob, and no one was going to tell it otherwise. Sure, he could get through any crowd going the same direction as he was, but Tomo wasn't a fricking magician! Quickly deciding that he would just wonder untill the rush ended, he walked through the extremely less dense areas of the district. No one looked is way. Nobody stood there anyways. Only a ghost. Tomo paused infront of a store. A beautiful, high-tempo melody came from inside. No musician like himself could resist it. Eyes smiling, face remaining passive, he walked in. Apparently, even the little bell at the top didnt register that someone had walked in. Sighing, his head nearly hung. Sure, after all these years he was pretty used to it, but come on! This was just rediculous! The girl playing the keyboard was, for lack of better words, cute. Beyond cute. Adorable. The back of his neck buzzed as soon as he laid eyes on her. The faintest traces of a smirk appeared on his emotionless features, unique eyes flashing with a vague form of emotion, the red one always expressing more than his gray. How lucky was this? His Sacrifice. Just sitting there. In a store he happened to stumble upon after accidentally missing the turn he was supposed to take. She didn't hear the bell, but she heard the door open. Which was weird. Maybe it broke again. Some of the other employees had been complaining about it. Feeling the sting on the back of her neck, she looked up from the keyboard to see a rather curious looking boy. He was quite hot, she had never seen hair of that color. She immediately wanted to touch it. Having a blush rise to her cheeks, she slowly ended her melody. She stood, brushing her bangs out of her eyes, in a shy but cute gesture.

"Hi there! Um, can I help you with anything?" She said with a happy voice, ignoring the pleasant burn at the back of her neck. She gave a cute smile and tapped her fingers at her sides in a subconscious gesture. Looking at him, she suddenly got inspiration for new beats, and music. Taking a long look at him, he seemed like he was the more misunderstood type. "I'm sorry, the bell didn't ring. I forgot that it was broken. Lucky I was sitting there huh?" She tried to make small talk, but she wasn't very good at it. Her melodious voice wavered a little bit, as she took a small breath. Man. He really was gorgeous.

No one has ever spoken to him before, except for Akatsu of course. Blinking a few times in confusion, he glanced around, wondering if she was talking to someone else. No such luck. The cute girl was officially talking to him. A grin almost came out. Tomo decided that the girl was worth a visual dissection. Which sounded worse than it actually was. She was nervous, her fingers tapping her side like it was a piano. Probably a tune that she was thinking of. Her eyes shone with a mixture of nerves, joy and worry. The blue haired girl knew there was something going on with him. She definitely was a musician. It was obvious. The more he observed, the more he liked. She was pretty neat. Lucky him, she was his Sacrifice. He was glad, really. His face was as blank as ever. Can she help him? Probably. Shrugging, he closed his multicolored eyes. Her melodious voice was soothing really. It made him want to fall asleep. Opening his eyes again, they became smoldering with a warmth that he thought that he lost, red one stronger than the gray. Oh. The bell was broken. Thats good. A slight wave of relief flooded him. At least he wasnt invisible to doors now. Well, Tomo decided that it was time for him to impress her. Madoka noticed the boy checking her out. After she had caught him looking around in confusion. She giggled, maybe he thought he was being sneaky. His eyes shone, and expressed him, while she noticed that he liked to keep his face expressionless. She really wanted to see his smile. Knowing that he was her fighter, she took a few steps forward, with her hands clasped behind her back. Mmm, he was cuter closer up too. Checking him out further, she was fascinated by his eyes. They were so expressive, so pretty. She got a lost a little, in their depths.

He closed his eyes? She hoped there wasn't something wrong. He seemed to get a relaxed look on his face and she held back a poke. She didn't want to freak him out. Having his eyes open again, she noticed a new warmth in them. That fact made her smile. He just seemed to be daydreaming. She did that a lot too. Thinking on it, she realized that he must be a musician too. The thought made her hold back a grin.

He wanted to see a bass? So he was a musician. Well if he wanted to see one, she would make sure she showed him the good ones. Giving him a curious look, she walked in a flowing motion, almost dance-like. "A bass huh?" she said with a curious smile. "Sure~ Follow me please." Turning back around suddenly after a few steps, she realized that she had forgotten something. "Oh wait. Crap, I'm sorry. I forgot to give you my name. I am Madoka~! It's a pleasure to meet you!"

Inwardly nodding, Tomo quickly agreed with the word he used to describe her. Obviously, she was obsessed with his eyes, but not just with their multi-colored appearance, apparently. She just stared at into them... Oh? She wanted Tomo to follow him. Face without emotion, he stepped forward, bass music, completely made up, flowing through his ears to an imaginary beat. His eyes shone brightly as he straightened up, seeming to tower over his Sacrifice. The Fighter could not wait to grab a hold of that bass. But she stopped. "Madoka, eh?" Taking a deep breath in, he tried to absorb her name. Oh, how Tomo royally sucked with names. Closing his eyes, he imagined her face. "Madoka.. Madoka.. Madoka..." Muttering, the Fighter tried to plaster the, well... oddly cute name to the just as adorable girl. Opening his eyes, the different colored orbs shining with a mix of emotion, he nodded. Madoka chuckled when he repeated her name to himself. How cute. Getting on her tippy toes, she ruffled his hair with a grin. "You don't have to go through any extra trouble to remember my name. You can call me Deej or Leeko, if it's any easier." She made a devilish little grin when she saw his hands twitch. He had the same problem then. "Tomo eh? Well we better get you to those bases quick." Smiling to herself she took hold of his hand gently and turned once more, to lead the way.

Dancing quickly down the steps, she led him into her own secret place. "This way~ It was used as her own personal studio, and often she taught beginners in a spot off the side as well. Releasing his hand, she strode up to the wall, which was covered in string instruments. She grabbed down a rather handsome bass. Cradling it like a small child, she walked up to Tomo with an excited look on her face. Handing him the bass, she waited until it was safely in his hands before she went to drag out some stools.

Pulling out a pair of comfy looking stools, she set them across from each other. She motioned for Tomo to take one. Waiting until he took a seat, she grabbed herself a guitar of her own. It was a nice little electric guitar, that matched the color of her eyes. With that, she plopped down in the opposite stool and waited with eager eyes to hear his music.

Blinking a few times, as this sudden show of affection shocked him, Tomo only felt it right to return the favor. So he patted her head once she was done talking. "Madoka is fine." The Fighters neutral, yet somehow melodic and relaxing, voice responded, face passive. "With a name like Tomo, you really can't have a nickname." Shrugging, he really couldn't care less of what people called him. In his earlier years, before the third grade, when he was more noticeable, people teased him for the cutesy name. All it did was harden him more, make him uncaring when they forgot about him. Whatever. Finally, what he has been waiting for. With unrivaled anticipation, Tomo obediently followed his Sacrifice, nearly shaking with utter excitement. A bass. It was the very first instrument he learned how to play, by sneaking into classes while he was younger. Sometimes, being invisible was (and still is) a good thing. Such a beautiful bass. The frame was sleek and polished, the paint fresh and shining. Strings were tight and new. Gently, he took the precious instrument from Madoka and held it gingerly, yet with enough force to be sure that it would never fall out of his hands. Closing his eyes, Tomo's head tilted up as he stroked the cords individually, making sure they were tuned correctly by ear. Opening his eyes, the red one seemed to glow as he fixed a cord that was a smidge of key. Striking it again, the tune was perfect. Tomo smiled. It was a warm smile, and whenever he does, it shows all of his emotion that he has kept inside of his eyes since the last time one broke out onto his face. Currently, the Fighter's expression was so warm it could melt the sun. Smoothing into an improvised piece, his fingers glided over the cords with an expertise you could only get by playing for a very long time. The melody was upbeat, happy, could force anyone to crack a grin or laugh and dance. Normally, bass would be played with a down, mellow, blues or jazz sort of feel. Tomo enjoyed going out of the confines of stereotypes. It was only when his mind briefly cleared enough in order for him to process what was going on around him, that he realized Madoka was playing with him on an accompaniment with the guitar. Madoka grinned in delight. She was having a lot of fun with him so far. Being patted, she let out a small purr. Her tail swished and her ears laid back. "Sure there is a nickname for Tomo. But. I don't think you would like it. Momo. So, I will just call you Tomo. Kay?" She had a little blush on her cheeks, not from embarrassment, but from excitement. Finally someone to jam with.

String instruments weren't really her forte. She much preferred keys and dials. Seeing him cherish the bass, made her take on a gentle grin. Her cheeks reddened again with pleasure, and she let out a soft giggle. Seeing him tune the bass, she scooted closer for a better look.

A very warm smile passed over his face, and it was utterly heart melting. It astonished Madoka, to the point were she thought it was so beautiful she thought she would cry. Playing along, she didn't want to interrupt the sound of the music. Sighing softly to herself in happiness, she began to speak in her melodious voice. "Oi." She tried to grab his attention, with a rather cute smile. "Don't smile like that around anyone but me. Kay?" Realizing that was incredibly weird to say, considering he didn't know they were connected. To him, she was just a stranger. Blushing beet red she stammered. "I-I mean.. Uh.. I-It's just that..S-smile is..really cute. A-and..Stuffs." Shaking slightly, her fingers trembled on the guitar. She started to chew delicately on her lip, in a self-conscious manner.
